Graphic Designer

We are looking for a graphic designer with some web experience to join our team! Apply for a position with us in the Houston area. 

STATUS: Full-time, hybrid schedule

SALARY: $45,000-$75,000 a year, based on experience.

We prefer well-rounded candidates with experience in print, digital, and web design. This is a highly collaborative environment where multiple people work on all projects. Candidates with WordPress and Elementor experience are preferred. 

Additional Requirements

  • Attention to detail. 
  • Minor CSS and HTML knowledge.
  • Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Some XD is used but not necessary. We are expanding into Figma as well.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint experience.
  • We care what’s in your portfolio first, resume second. We don’t care where you studied or how old you are, so long as you can do the work efficiently and are open to learning new processes. 

Though our entire team is hybrid and does work from home some days of the week, we are not currently looking for fully remote employees.

Responsibilities
  • Working with our design team to develop and conceptualize print/digital layouts, branding campaigns, and other design collateral
  • Create layouts in InDesign, vector art in Illustrator, and basic photo manipulation in Photoshop
  • Help create promotional materials and social media graphics
  • Assist in creating content for clients, including calendars, scheduled social media posts, advertisements, blog posts, and others
  • Perform market and competitive research

Requirements
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office in particular)
  • Highly proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • High levels of organization in file management and design software layers
  • Experience creating and reporting on marketing/advertising campaigns
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Being able to receive and work upon constructive critiques with a positive, problem-solving attitude
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey process and reasoning
  • 1–3 years of experience working in design-related careers

Account Manager Position

Padrón & Co. has been pivoting from a design and branding agency into a full-service digital marketing agency for the last year. We keep over 30 clients on our active list at any time, primarily nonprofits, tech startups, and small businesses. We’re in need of an in-house accounts manager who is extremely detail-oriented and capable of handling day-to-day activities for the firm, such as:

CLIENT SERVICE TASKS

  • Meeting with new or prospective clients to learn their needs and onboarding them into our systems
  • Creating or collecting briefs from clients and ensuring deliverables are sent to the client on time
  • Analyzing website conversion rates and the effectiveness of promotions to determine what drives sales or donations, and presenting reports to clients with the results
  • Managing client promotional events (rare but as needed) including day-of staffing and overseeing our social media team
  • Occasionally visiting clients at their locations, especially nonprofits, for kickoff meetings and briefings

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT TASKS

  • Working in conjunction with Creative Director to develop timelines and maintain staff’s workload balance
  • Reading over RFPs and helping write proposals for future work using pre-existing templates
  • Creating estimates and quotes using our system for pricing
  • Maintaining good working relations with vendors and managing client expectations
  • General business administration experience is greatly preferred

History of working with non-profit organizations

Professional Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

5+ years of similar work experience

Strong presentation and writing skills

Experience in managing people and teams

Possess a creative mindset
