Glenwood Cemetery

The Client

Since it was established in 1871, Glenwood Cemetery has been recognized as one of Houston’s special landmarks.

Many prominent Texans, from the days of the Republic until the present, are buried there. In celebration of its 150th anniversary, the cemetery launched a capital campaign to fund construction of the new Center for Glenwood.

The Task

With the anniversary quickly approaching, the client requested our help to update their website and develop fundraising materials: letterhead, brochure, and direct mail.

SOLUTION

We designed a special 150th anniversary logo that incorporates a drawing of the cemetery’s century-old oak tree.

With a stunning 120-foot canopy spread, the tree is one of Glenwood’s most iconic landmarks.

SOLUTION

We created a printed brochure to illustrate the history of Glenwood.

The custom gate fold mirrors Glenwood’s iconic front gates, which have stood since 1871.

SOLUTION

We created website pages that the client could easily update.

Glenwood’s website came with a cumbersome and difficult-to-update backend. While creating the anniversary webpages, our web designers converted many old site pages into easy-to-manage WordPress pages.
