No doubt 2020 has been quite a year. Despite the pandemic and all the social, political and economic unrest, we’ve had quite a successful year! We started off with a new website, a move to our new office, and the addition of our new junior team member, baby Matthew.
Take a look at what we’ve been working on since our last update!
Client Spotlight: The Women’s Resource
When the pandemic shut down all in-person events, The Women’s Resource of Greater Houston had to pivot all of their free financial education classes to online webinars. We helped them build monthly social media content calendars, email marketing campaigns, and managed all their paid digital advertising.
After careful on-going pivoting and lots of growth experimentation, we found the sweet spot that helped them consistently grow their class attendance.
In October 2020, we helped their team execute a one-day virtual luncheon to replace the yearly in-person event canceled in April. We designed all matching collateral, including print booklets sent in care packages to their donors with a timeline of the organization’s 30 years of service to Houston women and girls.
We wrote their script for the recordings, helped them secure a location, and coordinated all event-specific posts, emails, and ads. The event raised over $200,000 in a single day.
We also rebuilt their entire website. Their bounce rate dropped in half after launch. The site is now actively being used to recruit new volunteers and enroll women into their new virtual classes, not just to casually inform browsing donors.
They reached all their class participation and fundraising goals for the year, despite the pandemic. Thank you, TWR, for your trust in our skills. Explore their classes.

So. Many. Websites. In so little time!
It’s also been a busy year for websites – both new site builds and full redesigns. Some of our favorite launches include:
- Luminare Inc. needed a new home for their various sub-brands and products since pivoting to better help identify COVID-19.
- iNDIEFLIX needed a full rebrand, as well as a new website that joined all five branches of their company, from live streaming of videos to a foundation that helps make movies about important social issues.
- B&D Contractors wanted a more sophisticated website featuring their team to match their new logo and branding specs. (in partnership with Next Level Thinking)
- TBS Fitness Events wanted a bright and exciting page for their athletes/sponsors to sign up and pay registration fees. Their next event is being held at Margaritaville in Conroe!

And finally, we celebrate an exciting jump for one of our first clients
We are so very proud of Southern Yankee Beer Company for their steady growth from their brewery in Spring, Texas. We worked to create their new line of beer cans by taking the art their head brewer, Sydney, drew on their chalkboards and turning them into vector art labels.
Now, we hope to help them brand the latest branch of their company as they open Southern Yankee Crafthouse on West Alabama (formerly the Good Dog Montrose location). Here’s an article announcing the new location in Houstonia Magazine.
Mazel tov, y’all!
